Satellite data reception facilities at the Institute of Geography

Satellite data have been received at the Institute of Geography since 1997. Daily NOAA AVHRR images are received and can be seen at www.geogr.ku.dk/noaa. In August 2002 a new and larger receiving station was established allowing reception of American SeaWiFS data and Chinese Feng Yun data. These images are especially useful for marine environmental monitoring. Within the CONWOY project GRAS will be responsible for the reception, processing and analysis of satellite images.
